SON SOUND OWNER AND PRESIDENT PASSES AWAY
William Richard Robinson, Son Sound owner, retired minister, author, father of Vice President Mike Robinson and grandfather of Holly Robinson-Blanton and Ritchie Robinson, current owners of Son Sound Studios, went to be with his Savior on Sunday, June 4th at approximately 9PM.
Mr. Bill, as many called him, was born in
Honea Path, SC in 1927, and lived most of his 84 years in Bessemer
City, NC. After serving in the U.S. Mercant Marines during World War

which point he began a ministry that extended to owning the Christian
recording company and writing two books.
Mr. Bill helped start a company which continues to minister and entertain thousands of people with the gift of music. He was also a handyman and loved taking care of his home as well as 16 apartments he owned. Until they can be with him in Heaven, he will be lovingingly remembered by his wife of 64 years, Nancy Robinson, his son Mike, his grandchildren, Holly and Ritchie and his extended family and friends. The family will receive friends from 6 - 7:30PM on Tuesday, June 5th at Mr. Robinsons home located at 104 Bright Ave in Bessemer City, NC. REV. WILLIAM MCCREA IN
THE STUDIO AGAIN |
|
|
Would you like to have a CD of your church's music recorded, and have it pay for itself? Many churches and independent Christian music groups have discovered that a quality recording of their music is a tremendous fundraiser, as well as a powerful ministry tool. Have you considered using your CDs as a fundraiser for your church or music group? That's just what we wrapped up for the choir at Temple Baptist Church in Gastonia, NC. They recorded their Easter presentation of "Unstoppable" and have already had to reorder the product. "We look at this as an opportunity to give back to our local ministries..." adds studio manager, Holly Blanton. "This is a true fundraiser and the studio does not turn a profit on the initial CD order. We would absolutely love to offer this to more area churches or even out-of-area churches." For more information please call our offices at 704/868-4807. __________________________________________________________________________________________________________ |
